KAVALA - KOMOTINI (115 KM)

Très, très, très longue journée !

Je savais que cette étape serait longue et difficile, je ne m'étais pas trompé.

Very, very, very long day! I knew that this step would be long and difficult, I was not mistaken.

De grandes lignes droites monotones, le seul avantage ; c'est l'absence de relief

Large monotonous straight lines, the only advantage; It is the lack of relief

Malgré quelques éclaircies, le ciel reste couvert et parfois menaçant, et les kilomètres défilent
Despite a few clouds, the sky remains cloudy and sometimes threatening, and the miles pass

1ère crevaison depuis mon second départ !
1st puncture since my second start!

2ème crevaison ! la chambre à air de rechange ayant déjà servie, une rustine mal collée sans doute, heureusement j'avais prévu, une autre chambre neuve à fait l'affaire.

2nd puncture! The spare tube had already served, a patch badly glued no doubt, fortunately I had planned, another new room did the trick.

Et toujours ces longues lignes droites

Par endroits, j'avais l'impression d'être en Camargue, en fait ma route traverse le Parc National du Delta de Nestos

In some places, I felt like I was in the Camargue, in fact my route crosses the National Park of the Nestos Delta

Les couleurs de cette chapelle érigée sur un ilôt, me rappelle que je suis bien en Grèce

The colors of this chapel erected on an island, reminds me that I am well in Greece

Quand je vous dis que je me croyais en Camargue, il ne manquerait plus que les tauraux !

When I tell you that I thought I was in the Camargue, there would be nothing left but the Tauraux!

Non, non, ne cherchez pas, ce sont des vaches !

A l'issue de cette longue étape, je trouve enfin mon hôtel; un superbe établissement 4 étoiles que j'ai choisi, au prix d'un 2 étoiles grâce à une belle promotion commerciale sur internet, à mon arrivée le sympathique groom m'informe de la présence d'un groupe de français travaillant en Grèce. Très rapidement je me retrouve invité à boire une bière au bar avec ces ressortissants français. Employés par une société française HDI, ils sont aujourd'hui sur un gros chantier de pose d'un pipeligne.

Seconde épisode, ils m'invitent à l'appéro dans une de leur chambre où j'ai fais ce magnifique selfy !

At the end of this long stage, I finally found my hotel; A superb 4 star hotel that I chose, at the price of a 2 stars thanks to a nice commercial promotion on the internet, on my arrival the friendly bellman informs me of the presence of a group of French working in Greece. Very quickly I found myself invited to drink a beer at the bar with these French nationals. Employed by a French company HDI, they are today on a large pipeline installation site. Second episode, they invite me to the apper in one of their room where I made this magnificent selfy!

Le temps de déguster un bon wisky et de faire la photo, que troisième épisode, je me retrouve invité à leur table.

Grâce à vous j'ai passé un très agréable moment (en français !) merci les gars ! trop sympa !

Bon courage à vous et peut-être qu'un jour nos chemins de croiseront de nouveau !
